1965屆, 預科畢業 — 文化傳播之子
Dominic Tsim read sixth form at St. Paul’s College, graduating in 1965. He is most known for hosting English-language broadcasting programmes and has also worked for the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Sun Hung Kai, and is a former director of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Press. He now works as a full-time consultant.
Tsim’s time at St. Paul’s helped him decide that he wanted to work in English media. He said that the staff’s willingness to listen to different points of view and hold school debates helped him become interested in writing and English literature, which he majored in at university.
After furthering his studies in Britain, Tsim first joined the BBC before returning to Hong Kong in 1976. He has worked as a newscaster and news editor for TVB and hosted such programmes as Learning English Through Music (Radio Television Hong Kong) and Newsline (Asia Television), and has written for the South China Morning Post and the Hong Kong Economic Journal. Tsim has been hired by the government as a consultant, and has worked in the Central Policy Unit. He was appointed JP in 1991 and founded his consulting firm, T.L. Tsim & Associates, in 1994, with clients including financial and real estate conglomerates.
