Stephen Ng graduated from St. Paul’s College in 1990. His passion for music is evident in his College years. He joined the College choir and college orchestra and was a former chairman of the Music Union. He currently shuttles between Hong Kong and Pennsylvania for his vocal masterclasses.
Ng has taught voice in American universities since 2002 and frequently performs in Europe while on leave, opening vocal masterclasses in Germany and Italy. Ng’s solo work encompasses all of Bach’s major works, Handel’s Messiah, and major oratorios.
Ng returned to Hong Kong in 2007 and served as the College’s first artist-in-residence until 2010. He taught our students by encouraging them to try new things and follow their creative passions. He passed the torch to the next generation. He resumed his teaching work stateside in 2010. Ng also worked as a resident musician at Lingnan University in 2019.
