Leader of arts-in-residence and academic-in-residence programmes

才藝敎育領袖

John Kennard is the College’s eleventh principal, serving from 2006 to 2014. His tenure is marked by continued quality-of-life improvements in the college, the expansion of the Global Classroom programme, and our transition to Hong Kong’s ‘New Senior Secondary’ scheme.

Kennard oversaw renovations of the Wong Ming Him Hall (2008) and the College Hall (2010). He also launched the artist-in-residence programme (2007) and the academic-in-residence programme (2013), improving students’ extracurricular experiences. During his headship, the Primary School relocated to its current Pokfulam Road location in 2013.

Outside of administrative work, Kennard has researched College history in depth, parts of which this exhibition adapts. He has since taken headships in China, Malaysia, Poland, Switzerland, and Australia.
